Discover the working conditions & techniques of a bygone mining era. Guided underground tours of the East Area black coal mine are conducted between 10am and 3.30pm daily. They include a walk down a gentle sloping tunnel to the coal face, returning in a cable hauled coal skip. Visit the mining museum and enjoy a BBQ in the picnic area.
